It's with great excitement that I announce - I was fortunate enough to jointly win the 2010 Crichton Award for new Australian illustrators. The award dinner was held yesterday at Customs House in Brisbane and I am honored to share this award with Andrew Joyner. It was an absolute privelage to be amoungst the countries best illustrators and children's book authors and also to get a chance to meet with the top publishing houses.What a great day it was indeed. And I hope this is the start of great things to come :)
Congratulations Andy. I was at the ceremony and must confess to not having seen your book until Friday - but it is absolutely beautiful! I love your work and am sure you will have many more successes.
